Job Summary
  • Individual contributor, assists with design production of building infrastructure projects
  • Support the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
  • Select equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and prepare equipment schedules
  • Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters
  • Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems
  • Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
  • Keep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • 0-2 years of internship experience
  • Preferred experience in AutoCAD & Revit
  • Preferred understanding of applicable design and building codes
