Overview

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior IT Systems & Cloud Administrator to join our IT leadership team. This role requires deep expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem, with a strong focus on Azure, endpoint management, and security.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level IT generalist who can independently manage and troubleshoot complex environments, serve as a high-level escalation point, and contribute to the stability, security, and evolution of our cloud-first infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex issues across cloud, endpoint, and identity platforms
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure, including identity, access, and core services
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID)
  • Own and maintain Microsoft Intune for device deployment, configuration, compliance, and policy enforcement
  • Administer and respond to alerts within Microsoft Defender (E5 security stack) , Tenable One, etc
  • Collaborate with external network consultants on infrastructure, firewall, and VPN-related decisions

Required Technical Experience
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience administering:
    • Microsoft Azure (VMs, identity, access control, resource management)
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including conditional access and identity security
    • Microsoft Intune (device lifecycle management, compliance policies, configuration profiles)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Endpoint security and device hardening
    • Identity and access management best practices (MFA, conditional access, zero trust concepts)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across:
    • Cloud services
    • Endpoint devices
    • User authentication and access
  • Experience operating in a hybrid environment (cloud + on-prem systems)

Work Environment
  • Hybrid role (NYC area) – minimum 2 days/week in office, more while onboarding
  • ​​​​​​Occasional after-hours response for critical incidents
